time to EXERCISE!
After night cycling on friday, I deduced that my fitness is horrible =( Since I'm unemployed now, I better take this chance to train. Anyway, I biked from ECP to BEDOK to UPPER CHANGI to GEYLANG to NICOLL HIGHWAY to LAU PAT SAT to TIONG BAHRU to BUONA VISTA to KENT RIDGE to PASIR PANJANG and to VIVO CITY before heading back to ECP. Okay, the distance wasn't THAT long; it was the slopes that made my legs feel like jelly. Yeah, and there weren't a lot of slopes but because I used the wrong set of gears for the first few slopes, coupled with my lack of exercise -the last time I really exercised was millions of years ago- my thighs started cramming up and I could feel my muscles screaming for me to stop. And for the rest of the slopes I nearly died. I think what pulled me through was this phrase "what goes up must come down", which kept ringing in my head whenever I was on a slope and of course, the people who were in front of me. I think I'm stubborn because I kept believing that whatever they could do, I could. If the slopes were steeper and longer, maybe I would have lost balance and rolled down the slopes.
On a lighter note, it's an awesome feeling riding on the roads at night; the wind rushing through your hair, the silence of the CBD and having the entire road to yourself. When the entire city was at sleep, there we were, coursing through the roads of Singapore. Yeah, virgin experience (:
After that, I was mentally awake (like seriously wide awake; I think I could solve a PSLE math question at that point of time. HAHA) but physically drained. Had a bath and went to bed at 9 in the morning and woke up at 12nn so that I wouldn't screw up my weekend.
In the afternoon, my dad, mum and I went to Suntec so that I could submit more applications (: thanks a lot! After which, we went to the food fair! It was PACKED with people. Is there a recession? hahaha maybe because people were there to make use of the discounted prices; maybe not because everyone was still spending on lots of food like Bak kwa.
All geared up to clean some shit tomorrow! ((: I'm feeling super excited!
